To Plurk or to Twit

Pinoys love Plurk coz its more friendster like they feel more connected with their “FRIENDS”, and its more lively, that’s a given for our colorful asian tradition always on the parade or fiesta mode. I like plurk  coz it can update my status on fb and has a better sms service in the phils, bad thing it does not have any interesting person or thing to follow, all I get from plurkers that I follow is either their hungry, they wanna cry.

Twitter on the other hand is simple that’s the western way (ahhmm.. apple,google), lets say plain boring but tweeps are mostly western and most users are adults(thats funny),if not they are NBA players,politicians or brands, the kind of pips that dont’t post their silly pics every hour, or whine of how bad their day was just to let their “FRIENDS” know, twitter is to tell something and it should make sense in 140 characters and most twits is news,useful info, trivias, events and other stuffs. most of the time I just read twits. I just really hate their sms service.

To Plurk is to tell - communication with friends whining about ur bad day and telling them that you are hungry.

To Twit is to listen - reading from tweeps and you will find something new and interesting each day, the prize of listening.

Issa Litton

While watching secrets of the masters on QTV, I was expecting the Chef to go show though, I was intrigued with the host, she calls herself Issa Litton, shes not a chef i think shes the one that just host it.

I heard her name from somewhere but i dont know where or how, of course as a celebrity you would somehow encounter her name.

But Alas now I know where I encountered her, from the website of wedding videographer Jason Magbanua where he featured a Star wars wedding, yup that was soo fanatic of them, maybe Issa is a fan of star wars or something and its weired shes hosting a culinary show.

24 season 7

It’s a big change this season, set on washington, and an abolish CTU, Jack Bauer is back and so are the terrorist, so where did he went anyway?. It’s better to watch first 24 redemption first before watching epi 1 to get a clearer view.

Tony is the bad terrorist this time and yes after the 3 epi we discovered he was working undercover, but he admitted to jack that he changed his ways and been working for the baddies for 3 years now.

Aside from tony here are some familiar folk we encountered on previous seasons chloe (she looks like veronica bemont of tekzilla) and Bill (grey hair, and where is his wife? did they got separated?).

Do you guys notice the grey hair?

Fav TV Show

Many pips have asked me before, this question whats you fav tv show/series?. I should say futurama but its non existent anymore too bad, anyways its obvious for those who have read my blogs in the previous years I have blog a lot about 24 and still it’s one of my fav show, 24 btw is returning this year. hopefully it will be a good day.

Band from TV

Nope they are not band from appearing on TV, this is a band which consist of TV stars as their members, Imagine Dr. house playing keyboards instead of needles or vicodin, Matt Parkman doing drums and not turning his head sideways hehe, and Teri Hatcher she’s not deperate, she’s just singing. The band was formed  for a cause to show they are more than just acting, help pips in need and just to have a good time. OH and I also Hugo from Lost singing with them once. ain’t that cool the other side of TV stars.

prison break, on watching it again

I watched prison break season 1 again, 3 years after it was aired, just found a complete dvd collection of it at home then just played during the holidays, watching it again makes me feel that its the best season prison break has produced its the most original and has a more colorful cast, I’m so happy to see micahel back in prison he’s more genius in a limited environment, and yes i miss their blue uniform, and bellick looking like guy you can’t break and of course dr. tancredi on her white coat, some of the characthers ringed my thoughts like i’ve seen them before like LJ’s mom, is also claire’s (the cheerleader from HEROES) biological mom, The company lady who always sees the VP Caroline Reynolds (I think Lisa is her name.. not sure though) is Lynn Kresge the aide to President David Palmer in 24 season 2 . I also heard opening theme of HOUSE MD playing on the background at a scene when the prisoners are an hour to their escape, if your thinking the massive attack song yes it is. I watched house season 1-4 last month, so I can name prison break cast who was once a patient if not a guest star in house md.

1. Linc the sink (Dominic Purcell) -His wife is house patient she has a sleeping sickness as far as i can remember

2. Veronica Donovan (Robbin Tunney) - How can I not forgot, she’s the first patient of house google house md season 1 episode 1

I noticed Brad Bellick has a more convincing role in this season than any other season

I noticed of all the prison break cast T-Bag has been the one benefiting from his role since he landed phedophille/villain/one hand role on prison break I’ve seen him on 2 movies one on hitman, and another transporter 3

Michael Scofield - is thinner on season1 than season on 4, he’s gone fatter since.

Since season 1 the only cast left from fox river 8 is michael, lincoln, sucre and t-bag

Here’s how I see Web 2.0 names, they are somewhat derived on how pinoy sms messages are constructed, coz they take off the “E“ where deemed necessary like TEXT to TXT or FLICKER to FLICKR… and sometimes like changing the  last three letters like “ATE” or “AIT” to 8, so Wait becomes W8 and Late becomes L8

MEANING?? 

Nothing really and I believe it has no relationship with the “pinoy text message construction” at all…

Websites today use web 2.0 names for their domains and services but why?, Well for me people always look for new and fresh stuffs, ponder on this meebo is a much fresh and simple name then e-messenger right, its cool fresh and much easy to type, another example pastemycodenow.com is very long to type why not use something like pastie.org its simple and short.

I think their names were not created with the web 2.0 in mind, but their names became success brands now every web company is adopting their naming style, I think this names are also the base why web 2.0 names are like that in the first place.
